Welcome to the website of the Perth Suburban Women’s Golf League (PSWGL). We sincerely hope you enjoy browsing our page, the contents of which should give you an insight into the purpose of the League; which is to provide a service to the ladies who are members of public course clubs located in the Perth metropolitan area.

There are 26 clubs affiliated with the PSWGL, which automatically affiliates them with GolfWA, the body responsible for the game of golf in WA and also Golf Australia. These 26 clubs represent nearly 1000 ladies, many of whom come together throughout the golfing season to participate in competitions (including a pennant competition between clubs) organised by the PSWGL and held at a number of public courses in Perth.

Golf provides a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle activity for all who participate in this great game. Not only does it create an opportunity for ladies to exercise and keep the body strong, but golfing within a club brings its benefits and through participation in the various tournaments conducted by the PSWGL during the year, a sense of camaraderie will be enjoyed and, often, long-lasting friendships are made.

OBJECTS OF THE LEAGUE      

To promote the game of golf generally; To conduct golf events for member clubs; To give advice to member clubs and settle disputes; and to represent the Association’s member clubs and liaise with GolfWA

Qualification of an Affiliated Club:

Must be a GolfWA affiliated public course club with women as associates and an annual subscription for each club must be paid to the Perth Suburban Women’s Golf League of an amount as approved by Member Clubs.

Registration of Associates of Member Clubs: 

A list of financial associates of Member Clubs including name, email address, contact phone number, Golf Link number is required to be sent to the League Secretary before 1 April each year with the appropriate registration fees as approved by Member Clubs.

Notification of Club Officials:

Before the commencement of the League season, each club shall forward to the League Secretary a list of Club Officials, email addresses and contact details,  such list to include names of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Captain, Handicapper and Delegate, and the total number of Home Club Members in each current year.

Delegates:

Each Club is represented at general meetings by ONE delegate, who may be accompanied by two observers. The only the delegate has the right to vote and speak.  When a delegate is unable to attend a meeting, the CLUB can appoint a Proxy who may be any associate of the Club, or any other affiliated club, with the same rights as the delegate.  A Proxy Form, completed and signed by Delegate and Proxy is to be handed to the League Secretary on arrival at Meetings or forwarded by email prior or as soon as possible after the meeting.
